M. David Maloney
Mr. Maloney has been an associate of the Firm since 2009. Mr. Maloney litigates insurance coverage matters arising from a variety of contexts, including commercial disputes and construction defects. In addition, Mr. Maloney has experience representing insurers in matters arising under professional liability and directors and officers liability policies and in high-stakes matters concerning bad faith and other forms of extra-contractual liability. Mr. Maloney has also represented insurers in administrative matters in the Maryland Office of Administrative Hearings.
In addition to his insurance related work, Mr. Maloney has represented clients in tort matters and employment related disputes. Mr. Maloney's past pro bono representations have included representation of a death row inmate in post-conviction proceedings and representing a claimant seeking social security disability benefits.
Mr. Maloney graduated magna cum laude from American University's Washington College of Law where he was a critical essays editor for the American University International Law Review. In addition, Mr. Maloney represented asylum seekers as a student attorney in the International Human Rights Law Clinic and was selected to teach constitutional law to high school students as a Marshall-Brennan Fellow. Upon graduation in May 2004, Mr. Maloney was admitted to the Order of the Coif.
Prior to joining Kramon & Graham, Mr. Maloney was associated with the law firm of Thompson, Loss & Judge, LLP in the District of Columbia.
