Susan M. Hogan

Ms. Hogan is a principal of the Firm. Her practice currently focuses on insurance coverage issues in various jurisdictions. She advises clients and litigates insurance coverage issues primarily in the context of construction, products liability, and commercial disputes.

Before joining the Firm, Ms. Hogan practiced law in California, where she was one of the partners in charge of the insurance coverage practice group in a small San Francisco firm. Ms. Hogan's practice in California was also primarily devoted to insurance coverage issues, including coverage matters litigated in state and federal courts in California, Nevada, and the Pacific Northwest. Ms. Hogan is also a certified mediator, and served as a mediator for the San Francisco and Contra Costa Superior Courts.

Ms. Hogan is an active member of the Insurance Coverage Litigation Section of the ABA, for which she currently serves as a co-chair of the Emerging Issues Subcommittee.

During law school, Ms. Hogan was a comment writer and editor for the Pacific Law Journal.

Ms. Hogan's published opinions and articles include Wells Fargo Bank v. California Insurance Guarantee Association, 45 Cal.Rptr. 537 (1995), and "Attorneys' Fees in Civil Rights Cases: Contingent Fee Awards Under Section 1988," Pacific Law Journal, July 1986, Volume 17, No. 4, pp. 1275-1299.
