Kramon & Graham real estate attorney Erin Guiffre and commercial litigation lawyer Chris Jeffries elected principals of the firm

Kramon & Graham is pleased to announce that attorneys Erin R. Guiffre and Christopher C. Jeffries have become principals of the firm.

8223F7DB-5056-A057-21854142BE5227F1A member of Kramon & Graham's real estate practice, Erin Guiffre handles a variety of sophisticated transactions, including financing transactions, complicated leasing arrangements, residential and commercial land development deals, and real estate acquisitions and dispositions.

Erin's large scale urban development transactions include the ongoing representation of the developer of Howard County's largest transit-oriented community in a $100 million LEED certified construction project.

Erin is actively engaged in professional organizations relevant to the real estate industry, including the Maryland State Bar Association's Real Property Section, NAIOP, and the US Green Building Council.

In addition to serving the firm's clients, Erin gives her time and talent to charitable organizations. She is Vice President of the Board of Directors of The Loading Dock, a nonprofit organization that operates a building-materials reuse center.

Erin received her JD, cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center in 2007, and her BA, summa cum laude, from Frostburg State University in 2004.

125D1B8A-5056-A006-90921C5381789B17An accomplished trial lawyer with an active practice, Chris Jeffries handles a full range of complex commercial disputes in trial and appellate courts, including breaches of contract and business defamation cases. He has significant experience defending individuals and businesses in personal injury actions, particularly claims against property owners for alleged lead paint exposure.

Chris has a keen interest in civil rights and other social justice concerns and has significant trial experience representing police officers for alleged civil rights violations.

Chris is active in a variety of community and professional organizations. A former collegiate athlete, he serves on the Board of Directors of Charm City Youth Lacrosse. He is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association, Bar Association of Baltimore City, Monumental City Bar Association, Baltimore County Bar Association, American Bar Association, Maryland Defense Counsel, Inc., and DRI.

Before joining Kramon & Graham, Chris served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Evelyn Omega Cannon of the Circuit Court for Baltimore City. He earned his JD in 2005 from the George Washington University School of Law, and his BA from Wesleyan University in 2001.

The firm also welcomes its newest associates, Diona F. Howard-Nicolas and Allison Midei.

Diona Howard-Nicolas focuses her practice on litigation matters. Before joining the firm, she clerked for the Honorable Jeffrey M. Geller of the Circuit Court for Baltimore City. Diona received her JD from the American University Washington College of Law in 2014, where she served as a Notes and Comments Editor of the Administrative Law Review. She graduated with an MGA and Certificate in Politics from the University of Pennsylvania in 2010, and BA, magna cum laude, from Temple University in 2008.

Allison Midei joins the firm's litigation practice after serving as a law clerk to the Honorable Kim R. Gibson of the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. Before her federal clerkship, Allison was an associate in the New York office of a London-based international law firm. In 2014, Allison earned her JD, with high honors, from Emory University School of Law where she was inducted into the Order of the Coif. She graduated from Denison University with her BA, cum laude, in 2011.
