Kramon & Graham has an active white collar criminal defense practice and has participated in some of the largest criminal investigations and trials in the state in the last 27 years. The Firm's white collar criminal practice is preeminent. Two of the Maryland lawyers listed in the area of criminal law in The Best Lawyers in America are James P. Ulwick and Andrew Jay Graham, two principals of Kramon & Graham. Four of the Firm's principals are former Assistant United States Attorneys; one, Max H. Lauten, served for four years as Chief of Criminal Cases in the Office of the United States Attorney for the District of Maryland.

The Firm is frequently asked to represent companies, or their officers and directors, involved in federal and state criminal investigations in Maryland and in other jurisdictions.
