Brian Goodman Wins Back-to-Back Jury Trials
On June 9, 2014, firm principal Brian S. Goodman tried a jury case in the Circuit Court for Harford County in which he represented a local church in the defense of a premises-liability claim that allegedly resulted in serious personal injuries. After a two-day jury trial, the jury returned a defense verdict finding that the church was not negligent. This follows Mr. Goodman’s recent trial in the Circuit Court for Montgomery County in which he defended another local church against allegations of negligence in a wrongful death case arising out of an incident on church property. In that case, after a one-week jury trial, the jury returned a defense verdict, finding that no action or inaction on the part of the church caused the injuries or death to the decedent.
