Brian Southard Brian Southard

Brian S. Southard

As a real estate and corporate attorney, Brian focuses on representing commercial, industrial, retail, and residential developers and homebuilders. Brian advises clients through each stage of the real estate supply chain – from acquisition, development, financing, leasing, management, and ultimately to disposition. His clients include four national homebuilders, multiple local developers and homebuilders, and one of the largest Maryland-based commercial landlords. For homebuilder and developer clients, Brian teams up with the firm’s other practice disciplines to provide a full-service platform, handling construction defect, contract, warranty and real estate disputes, homeowner and condominium association documents and retail disclosures.

In general corporate, transactional, financing and leasing matters, Brian represents privately owned businesses, including the largest independent wholesale insurance broker in the nation, and a top regional insurance brokerage and financial services firm, in addition to professional service firms, family-owned businesses, and entrepreneurs.

All clients benefit from Kramon & Graham’s deep experience in employment-related disputes, pre-litigation strategies to reduce legal risks, and counsel in proactive employee relations.

In addition to his primary practice areas, Brian uses his business education and transactional experience to assist the firm's litigation practice in corporate, real estate, construction, and business disputes.

Brian believes that providing efficient legal solutions starts with gaining a deep understanding of each client's business and operating structure. He regularly works with clients to assimilate and complement the legal and business components of their transactions and works to reduce transaction time and minimize costs.
