Kramon & Graham, P.A. Presents to ACC-Baltimore: Appeals—What In-House Counsel Need to Know

On May 7, 2014, during a meeting of the Baltimore Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel, Kramon & Graham attorney David Shuster participated in a panel discussion on the subject of appellate practice and procedure. Dave, a former law clerk on the Court of Special Appeals, moderated the discussion. He was joined on the panel by the Hon. James R. Eyler of the Court of Special Appeals of Maryland (ret.) and the Hon. Kevin F. Arthur of the Court of Special Appeals. Judge Eyler and Judge Arthur spoke from the perspective of appellate judges and private practitioners. Topics of discussion included briefing and oral argument strategies, dispute resolution at the appellate court level, use of specialized appellate counsel versus trial counsel on appeal, and common mistakes of appellate practitioners. During prior events, Kramon & Graham attorneys have presented to the ACC-Baltimore on other litigation subjects of interest to in-house attorneys.
