Biography

Zach's practice is focused on insurance coverage, where he represents insurers in complex coverage and bad faith disputes across a range of policy lines, including under professional liability, directors and officers, general liability, and environmental liability policies. Zach advises insurer clients in high-stakes litigation concerning their rights and obligations of good faith towards their policyholders, taking a practical and solutions-oriented approach to guide clients through difficult decisions.

Before entering private practice, Zach graduated summa cum laude from the George Mason University Antonin Scalia Law School, where he served as the Senior Articles Editor of the George Mason Law Review and as a member of the Moot Court Board. After graduation, Zach served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Andrea M. Leahy of the Appellate Court of Maryland. He maintains an active pro bono practice, with successful representations before the D.C. Superior Court and in military veterans' compensation proceedings.

Zach is admitted to practice in The District of Columbia and his Maryland admission is pending. Currently, Zach practices in Maryland under the supervision of Maryland attorneys.

Outside the Office

Zach is an avid Baltimore sports fan and enjoys watching the Ravens and Orioles. Zach also enjoys golfing in his free time.
