Kramon & Graham, P.A. Elects Joseph P. Kavanagh to Principal

Kramon & Graham, P.A., one of Maryland's most respected litigation and business law firms, is pleased to announce that Joseph P. Kavanagh has been named Principal, effective July 1, 2026.

Joseph has proven to be an integral member of the Firm's professional liability group, where his practice focuses on legal ethics, attorney disciplinary matters, and legal malpractice claims. His work reflects not only a deep understanding of the complex nature that exists within professional responsibility but also an unrelenting commitment to excellence.

Before joining Kramon & Graham, Joseph practiced at two Baltimore-based law firms, handling a broad range of civil matters, including professional liability and personal injury suits. Notably, his past experience includes representation of healthcare providers and major healthcare institutions in high-exposure medical malpractice cases in Maryland and Washington, D.C.

Joseph's career began in public service as an Assistant Public Defender in both Baltimore County and Baltimore City. It was here that he represented indigent clients charged with serious felony offenses and developed significant courtroom and jury trial experience, skills that continue to inform his thoughtful, strategic approach to advocacy.
